there is so much output to keep track of it is hard to see if anything failed
thus use a logger, or colored output and maybe do status checks after each call

While the linking of libraries is not relevant for X, it could still be a convenience for installing from a certain branch, or when no pre-packaged version is available

When updating, currently everything is reinstalled
However an update should only happen if qtile has changes, an extension has changes, the user wants it or maybe if a library like pywlroots would have updates
Opening this issue for discussion on how to best handle this

Nothing is "special" in how qtile-extras is installed. Instead we could have a config that defines certain extensions to be installed in tandem with qtile

instead of a bash script "interface" create one executable with flags and sensible interactivity

If this is your main install, it can get annoying to first source the correct venv before importing libqtile.

Support creating the venv in a specific directory
Support cloning the repositories to a specific folder.
Support setting a sensible symlink
