helm-ido-like-guide's Issues

Add (provide 'helm-better-defaults)?

Hi,

Would it make sense to add (provide 'helm-better-defaults) at the end?

In that way, the file could be easily required, ie (use-package helm-better-defaults).

Getting an error, helm-read-file-map

I copied and pasted the code snippets in my config file (I also use literate programming so it was simple).

Symbol's value as variable is void: helm-read-file-map

I've required helm; what am I missing?

helm smex problem. (when candicate not exist my choice, how to use input content)

Hi, i try to switch from smex to this helm frontend version.

But, exist a problem i want to consider.
Hi, when worked with smex, in some case, some command
not exist in my candidate list. (especial very simple command)

e.g. M-x pp, the first match is: pr-ps-name.
in this case, if use with ido, i will run ido-select-text.
just sent out what i input to minibuffer, it worked.

If use with helm, how to do this? Thanks.

Melpa package?

better-helm works wonderfully. It is exactly the kind of experience I was hoping to find in helm.

Frankly, without it I would have dropped using helm for good.

Is there a way to make it a proper little package, perhaps available on Melpa?

I am sure many users would like to try it and quite a few will adopt it, as it sports a very balanced "sane behaviour" use-case.

Thank you so much for putting it together.

No fuzzy matching in describe-function (and some other places)

With just the settings given here you only get fuzzy matching in certain specific helm functions. You can get it in more places with:

(set 'helm-mode-fuzzy-match t)

Also thanks for compiling this tutorial, I've been wanting to move to helm for a while now but I couldn't live without flx!
