Need a service that has a counter

As a User
I need a service that has a counter
So that so that I can keep track of how many times something was done.

Details and Assumptions

  • Need a way to increment a counter
  • Need a way to get the current value

Acceptance Criteria

Given I have incremented the counter to 2
When I make a call to get the current value
Then it should return 2 as the counter value

Ability to update a counter to a new value

As a App Aministrator
I need to update a counter to a new value
So that I can fix mistakes in a counter

  • Counter service is deployed

Acceptance Criteria

Given a counter that is incremented to 2
When I set the value to 5 and query it
Then the returned counter value is 5

Counters can be reset

As a System Administrator
I need the ability to reset the counter
So that I can redo counting from the start

  • Counter service is deployed

Acceptance Criteria

Given a counter is incremented to 2
When I reset the counter and query it
Then the value returned should be 0

Deploy service to the cloud

As a System Administrator
I need to be able to deploy service to the cloud
So that the service uses a reliable platform

  • Use Amazon Web Service

Given the service is stored in AWS
When I access the service via AWS
Then I get a working service

Need the ability to remove a counter

I need ability to remove a counter
So that we can restore resources

  • Counter will be stored as a name value pair

Given I have increment the counter to 2
When I restart the service
Then the counter should still return 2

Complete Deploy Service to the Cloud

As a System Administrator
I need to be able to deploy service to the cloud
So that the service uses a reliable platform

So that I can keep track of several counts at once.
