Email confirmation of registration

When I signed up for the Hackathon nr 2 I didn't receive any kind of confirmation message, neither via the website nor via email. Is this intended?

Maybe my input data was too long but then the error is instead that the website didn't warn me beforehand.

Suggestion: enable RSS feeds

Would it be possible to enable RSS feeds for events and posts? The point is to make it easier for people to keep track of news and coming events.

As far as I can tell, this is a Jekyll site. So technically speaking, it should be possible.
