DPW Waste Pick Up Map

Department of Public Work Services. Help citizens find their specific waste pick up dates base on their address.

Getting Started

This project was created using:

Leaflet for WebGL map rendering.
Esri-Leaflet for Esri connections.
Turf for geospacial analysis.
Webpack as a web application bundler.
Yarn to manage project dependencies.
Cypress for testing.

Please make sure these are installed locally

Setup Local Environment.

Download the repo.

$ git clone [email protected]:CityOfDetroit/dpw-map.git

Install node dependencies.

$ yarn install
```
Run local instance.
```
$ yarn start
```
Run test suite.
```
$ yarn test
```
Create production build.
```
$ yarn build
```

Change schedule button

We need to change the current My schedule button from static markup to the new web components.

Make Special Events prominent

Issues with bi-weekly service in calendar

Bi-weekly services are not rendering correctly on calendar component.

Upgrade design system version

My Home Info web app is using design system version 1.0.1, and 1.0.10 was just released.

Creating this for tracking so we don't forget to upgrade and avoid painful late upgrades in the future.

Fix test suite

Current tests are giving false negative due to a change on how the geocoder returns an address.

Replace custom calendar implementation with component

A new custom component has been built in CityOfDetroit/COD-Design-System#182 that supports nearly all the features of the current DPW map. Let's cleanup this repo by using the custom component from the design system instead of implementing our own calendar in this repo.

Bi-week services rendering wrong on calendar

Calendar is displaying the wrong dates for bi-weekly services

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Go to map
Click on the map
View Calendar
See wrong dates.

Expected behavior
Dates should be correct.

Issue with multi housing

Searching for multi-housing properties via geocoder errors out.

Type 830 seville
See error

Migrate DPW-Map to web components

Load new geocoder
