FlipTabs

FlipTabs is a lightweight library that contains a 2-tab view that switches using flip animation. (Source of Inspiration)

Getting started

Setting up the dependency

1. Add the JitPack repository to your root build.gradle at the end of repositories:

allprojects {
	repositories {
		...
		maven { url 'https://jitpack.io' }
	}
}

2. Add the FlipTabs dependency in the build.gradle:

implementation 'com.github.Chrisvin:FlipTabs:v1.5'

Demo app

To run the demo project, clone the repository and run it via Android Studio.

Download the demo apk from releases.

Usage

Adding directly in layout.xml

Note: Disabling the default padding (using app:removeDefaultPadding="true") means that you (the dev) need to ensure that there is enough space around the FlipTab so as to not clip the flipping animation.

Todo

• Current library overcomes view clipping by setting the parent layout's clipChildren & clipToPadding as false. Find a better alternative to overcome view clipping.
• Current library changes drawable and applies scaleX on the entire selected tab in the middle of the flip animation. Find a better alternative, such as applying scaleX only on the text instead of the whole view.
• Explore possibilities for multi tab design.

fliptabs's Issues

Add new attributes

I want to make the border of fliptabs as per the value I enter. I also want the text inside the fliptabs to be customisable like text size, text style, fontfamily,etc. There is also the problem in size as whenever I try to make it small it cuts from all sides. It will be a pleasure if you solve these problems. Thank You.

Doesn't supports RTL and setenabled attribute

I tried rtl but it doesn't shows well. I also want to disable the fliptab for sometime but when i tried fliptab.setenabled(false) it doesn't worked. I can still interact with the fliptab. Waiting for your reply and a solution. Thank You.

Cannot set text size lower than 12sp and specify text margin

I know that this is not a bug, but I need for my project really small flip tab with small text and small text margin like 2dp (you set text marginTop and marginBottom to 8dp). Can you please provide a posibility to set flip tab attributes really small?

Size issue

For example, If i add a fliptab of width 100dp and height 60dp, then also the resulted fliptab is of approximately height 50% of given height and width is approximately 20dp less than the original width given
