deadmouse's Issues

Deadmouse and Google Reader

If one is an avid user of Google Reader, Deadmouse is a non-starter because every tap of J or K to go to the previous or next story also sets something on the page jiggling (often a large-font-size headline, making it pretty tough to read).

This is similar to Issue #4 (#4) that you opened yourself, but I'd like to see the opposite feature: instead of a sequence to let deadmouse have its way, I'd like a key sequence to disable it for the current page.

Alternatively, you could add an option to the plugin to have it 'disabled' (but still loaded) by default on page load, with a specific key sequence to bring it to life. This would make it a nice fit for geeks who use a lot of keyboard-shortcut-heavy sites.

Thanks in advance; it's a beautiful piece of work. I love the use of string_score—makes it a lot easier to home in on the link I want more quickly.

Backspace also escapes

While using the escape key to 'escape' a 'wiggle' makes sense, setting it to backspace makes it easier to access and also makes sense, or allowing users to configure which key to exit a 'wiggle'.

Issues with space

I reply heavily on using space to page down. Deadmouse disabled this which isn't handy. I understand that some links have spaces, but maybe if the first key hit is space then it should do a page down rather than start to select a link.

(Hitting space multiple times seems to give strange selections anyway; on the GH commenting page; 'Issues', 'Pull Requests' then 'Gist' are selected. If i start with 'co' to get Code, then hit space, I then get 'Help', 'Gist', then 'Explore').

Thanks!

Access Buttons and Inputs

Adding shortcuts to easily cycle through input fields and typing to select buttons would be incredibly useful to make deadmouse a more useful tool to avoid needing the mouse. As it is, this is great for text links, but if I need to get to an input field half-way down the page I end up hitting TAB through 500 links before I get there.

repackage as a website plugin

I would like to include this on my website (much like you do on http://chetan51.github.com/deadmouse/)

I can see your source code and copy the relevant files out of there and patch it back together myself -- but it would be nice if you could package it (perhaps in a seperate branch) as a plugin for inclusion on websites!

Thanks,
Dean.
