Contributing

So you want to contibute? Awesome! โœจ Here is the recommended workflow:

  1. Fork the repo, and clone it locally.
  2. Run ./script/bootstrap to prepare your local development environment.
  3. Create a new branch for your contribution.
  4. Add tests if needed. (Run them with script/test.)
  5. Push to your fork and submit a PR!

At this point you're waiting on us. We like to at least comment on, if not accept, pull requests within a few days. We may suggest some changes or improvements or alternatives.

Adding your name to the list of people

Start by following the contributing guide, then take a look in the _people directory of this repo.

Copy the _template.md file to a new file named after your Charleston Tech slack handle, and update the information within.

Add this file to your branch and send a PR so we can merge the change and add you to the list of amazing professionals and enthusiasts in the Charleston tech community. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

For companies, we have the same process with slightly different fields, with the files located in _companies.

Afaik, this should be able to be enabled in Github pages for free, although there might need to be some tweaks to the DNS entries if something is invalid
