Refactor contributed functions
Sync logs between cookies and server
Currently, any log entry is saved locally (to a cookie) and remotely if a connection is present. If there's no connection, or the user is on a different browser, local logs will not be available.
Un-synchronize chardata retrieval
Currently async: false for developer convenience, rejigger for data-loaded callback:
