As is currently, to canvas everyone I need to download and run all of their scripts and grade them, then re-upload them to Learning Suite. For things requiring more subjective grading (quality of the plot) or where human error is possible, I run the risk of giving 2 different grades. Also, a lot of time would be wasted if plotting sections of the lab had to be re-run each time.

Is there a way to avoid re-grading already graded student responses? Seems like some setup necessary and file organization on the roster and grading.

Some thought needs to be put in on how to organize the script better so that it's easier to modify it for each lab assignment. Also, along these same lines, some thought could be put into how the whole process and data flow can go, and maybe some automation of, for instance, the roster placement. The whole system is somewhat disjointed right now and could use some good flow and overall control.

Script needs a way of altering the grade based on a due date and the time stamp on each file.

Need to add into the script a function that renames the files in the target folders to remove the spaces and things that Google adds onto the end of it.

The program needs to implement a way of checking for a header and checking for comments, and add a part of the grade to the lab for that as well.

Some time should be spent looking at the code and figuring a better way to organize it. The goals should be modularity, robustness, and easy I/O interfaces. Dividing things up into more functions will probably help as a starter, perhaps doing an OOP approach might help as well.
