License

From the README, it seems that you are open to forking/contributions. But could you please add an explicit LICENSE file?

If you need help choosing a license, I recommend http://choosealicense.com/.

Include milliseconds?

I think it will give more user feedback that button has indeed been clicked and the time is being recorded. Like a stopwatch.

If you have milliseconds the percentage can change more gradually as well.

'there's an app for that'

hey @cathydeng,

I was using your site and was bothered to keep one extra tab always there. so I created an app, haven't published it yet, and wanted to check with you first. is there an email I can contact you about moving forward with this? the app has no ads or anything.

Add manifest.json

A manifest.json would make adding this site to a mobile phone home screen more seamless, so it opens independently as a mini kiosk app rather than simply opening in the Chrome browser.

A simple icon might be based on the button design?

Feature request

An app for android (and iphone of course)

Round button "+" to add a new button, it will ask to enter a name
Long click to add or remove the person to queue (for distribute speech)
(maybe a number on the buttons to see the queue)
Drag-out to delete a button

Sharing button to put the result online with a screenshot
Data download

Great idea :)

Make a race version?

Hi @cathydeng! Firstly - thank you so much for building this little website!! I LOVE IT and I'm planning to use it a whole bunch ๐Ÿ™Œ

It would be great to make a race one: "are white people talking too much".

What do you think? I could fork the project and create that version maybe? Figured I'd ask your opinion first ๐Ÿ˜„

URGH - I suck - I see that you've said it's ok to steal and remix! I'll go ahead and fork away ๐Ÿด

Feature 'Interruption" button

Feature description: a third big button that when pressed adds to the currently speaking side's "interruptions" counter.

I would be very much willing to build that, just wanted to ask if it's needed/wanted first.

Add input for head count of dudes vs. "non-dudes"

Assume a meeting with 9 dudes and 1 "not a dude". Everybody talks for exactly 2 minutes.
Wihout factoring out the disparity in head count, this app will say "men talked 90% of the time", which, while being technically correct, doesnt't tell a thing about whether men are taking longer to get their point across or not (which I assume is the point of this app, otherwise, feel free to just close this issue).

Keyboard interface?

When the conversation is moving fast moving the mouse back and forth is a bit cumbersome. Is it possible to implement a keyboard interface so that pressing, say, d starts the dude timer and n switches to the nondude timer?

Suggested Accessibility Improvements

Currently there's no keyboard focus that can be placed on the two "buttons", no roles on them, and no live regions to let screen readers know what changes are going on in real-time.

Adding a button element, rather than the a would give screen readers a more accurate role. But, just adding an href will ensure that a link role will be given to a screen reader as well as providing keyboard focus on the items. aria-pressed would be helpful also to convey the state (pressed or not) to screen reader users.

Also, the color contrast on some items is fairly low (the grey on white).

Reset Timer Without Refreshing Page

Currently I don't see any way to reset the timer without refreshing the page. It's not too important but it would be a nice and fairly simple addition.
