GROUP GIPHY SAGA PROJECT

This application allows users to search for gifs from Giphy. Search results are displayed in a grid on the main page. Users can select favorites that are added to a separate "favorites" page. They can then be viewed and categorized.

Setup

1. Run the query from the database.sql file to create a new database and table. values are included if you want to use the images included with the project.
2. Use the "$ npm install" command to install dependencies.
3. Use the "$ npm run server" command to start the server.
4. Use the "$ npm run client" command to start the react development build.
5. Access the webpage via the url "localhost:3000"

Usage

1. Enter a search term into the "search" field. Press the "search" button to initiate search. Results will be displayed beneath the search field.
2. To favorite a gif, click the heart at the bottom of the image.
3. To view saved favorites click the "favorite" link at the top of the page.
4. Favorites can be categorized by selecting a cetgory from the drop-down menu beneath each gif and pressing the "categorize" button.
