Question: Do you 3-D print the designed elements?

I see you make 3-D models for some of the elements you use in your house.

Do you make the design first and then find/print the element?

Or you make/buy the element and then design it just to illustrate it better digitally?

I am curious if actually designing and 3-D printing such elements for the household could be useful.

Attic needs more insulation

When we had our home inspected a couple of years ago, the inspector said the attic cellulose had lost its body or fluff or whatever. Not exactly his words, but the outcome was the same: we need more insulation for efficiently riding out the winters.

Paint shop walls white

Wait for water damaged sheet rock to be fixed first.

Roof shingles need replacing

Grow soy beans in back garden

Really should grow soy beans...

Add railing to front porch

Now that we have a trex front porch, find something nice to adorn it and keep kids safe as they walk up the stairs.

Remove shrub in corner of backyard

It's taking too much space, and we have no space in our backyard.

Remove overhead fan in master bedroom

Too close to our heads. No one likes it anyway.

Base of shop leaks when it rains

We get a puddle of water in the cement-floored shop whenever it rains. It doesn't appear to be coming down the walls--rather, it's seeping through the cement at the ground level.

Replace bathtub in master bathroom

Probably upgrade to a corner bathtub. Another possibility: merge the two upper bathrooms into one bathroom.

Trim trees

Quaking Aspen in front yard; tree leaning into Ruth's yard on west side; tree on Tom's side.

Basement suite needs bedframe, boxspring

Fix water damaged sheet rock panels in shop

Possibly wait until roof shingles are replaced?

Paint garage walls white

Unfinished walls need some attention. Also, one 4x8' panel of gyproc is missing. And there are some metal rods jutting out of the wall that should be cut off before the panel can go on.

Track lighting in playroom works intermittently

Sometimes the switch will turn the lights on and off, sometimes it won't.

Gyproc wall panel in garage needs replacing

It looks like a previous owner needed access to something inside the wall, but didn't cover up the hole they made. Also, if that "something" is important, maybe we should create a proper subpanel in the wall to provide access.

Front porch wood deteriorated

Replace wood, possibly entire porch. Trex would be awesome.
