Hi π, my name is Caio (pronounced as K-βEYEβ-oh, βKβ as in βKeyβ βEyeβ βOhβ as the βoβ in βProβ) and I am an Earth Scientist π. I currently live in St. John's, Canada π¨π¦. I recently finished first post-doc in France π«π·. I have a PhD from the University of Newcastle, Australia π¦πΊ and a bachelor's degree in oceanography from the Federal University of Rio Grande, Brazil π§π·. I am specialized in using machine learning and data-driven techniques to solve challenging environmental problems. My work so far focused mainly to study waves π processes such as wave breaking, energy dissipation and wave-wave interactions - which have several coastal and ocean engineering applications. I program mostly in
python
but can work proficiently with
fortran
,
octave
/matlab
and (occasionally)
C++
.
