We really believe we’re just scratching the surface of what's possible with the way we interact with technology. As touch and virtual reality interfaces rapidly evolve, we think some of the ideas we explored might be relevant now more than ever. The future of BumpTop is now in your hands, the community of passionate fans and developers of BumpTop who supported our mission of a bold new, physical dimension of UIs since the beginning.

Disclaimer: Although BumpTop was acquired by Google, this is not an official Google product. bumptop's Issues

Update Warnings, For macOS 10.15+

macOS 10.15 Drops the 32-Bit Support

Now at my time, macOS won't run 32-bit, only 64-bit.
And at the time, I want to compile this from a 32-bit to a 64-bit.
Please update this, or give me help to compile it.

It was the end of Mojave.

As the time passed by, 2019 released an unfair update to people who use 32-bit applications on mac, Catalina. Everyone would hate macOS, since this update. But some don't care. BumpTop is not supported now.

Website Link Shows Up as White Cards in BumpTop

Hi. The only issue I came across was the "website cards". I use Firefox as my browser and the websites I saved on my desktop appear as blank white cards in BumpTop. I'm assuming the software is trying to preview the saved websites but because they came from Firefox, it doesn't know how to process the file. The cards don't even work as icons, so I can't double click them to open the site in Firfox. Unfortunately, when BumpTop was registering my desktop, it got rid of the original icons that represented the saved websites on my original desktop, and I can't use an option in BumpTop to retrieve the web address; there is no way of recovering those sites.

My current work around:
Put the websites in a desktop folder.

Really low resolution icons on Desktop

For some reason all of the icons on the desktop are really low resolution, I've already maxed out all other settings so I don't know why the icons look so low quality/blurry. Help

transparency - can it be deactivared?

Hi,

I'm looking for a way to deactivate the transparency as it is really hard to see things in this transparent mode. Did I overlook something or is it really not possible?

Mohenjo-daro Pakistan

Mohenjo-Daro is an ancient city located in the province of Sindh, in modern-day Pakistan. It was one of the largest and most advanced cities of its time, and it is considered to be one of the earliest urban settlements in the world. Mohenjo-Daro was a major hub of the Indus Valley Civilization, which flourished in the region from 2500 BCE to 1900 BCE.

History of Mohenjo-Daro
The city of Mohenjo-Daro Pakistan was discovered in 1922 when a team of archaeologists led by Sir John Marshall began excavating the site. The city was buried under layers of sand and debris, and it took many years to uncover the full extent of the ruins.

Infrastructure
Today, Mohenjo-Daro is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it is considered to be one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. The city is home to a number of well-preserved buildings and structures, including the Great Bath, which is believed to be one of the oldest public water tanks in the world, and the Great Granary, which was used to store grain and other food supplies.

One of the most fascinating aspects of Mohenjo-daro is its advanced system of drainage and sewage. The city had a network of brick-lined streets and lanes, which were designed to channel rainwater and sewage away from the buildings. The city also had a number of public wells, which provided a constant supply of fresh water.

In addition to its impressive infrastructure, Mohenjo-Daro was also home to a number of temples and other religious buildings. The city was an important center of trade and commerce, and it was visited by merchants from all over the ancient world. The city was also home to a number of workshops and factories, where artisans and craftsmen produced a wide range of goods, from ceramics and jewelry to textiles and tools.

Despite its importance and advanced level of development, Mohenjo-Daro was eventually abandoned, and the exact reason for its decline is still a mystery. Some historians believe that the city was destroyed by a series of natural disasters, while others believe that it was abandoned due to a change in trade routes.

Tourism
Today, Mohenjo-Daro is a popular tourist destination, and it is visited by thousands of people each year. The city is located just a short drive from the city of Larkana, and it can be easily reached by car or bus. The site is open to the public, and guided tours are available. Gilgit-Baltistan is also the amazing place for tourism.

Conclusion
If you are interested in ancient history and archaeology, then a visit to Mohenjo-Daro is a must. The city is a testament to the ingenuity and resourcefulness of the people who lived there, and it is a fascinating glimpse into the past. Whether you are a history buff or just someone who loves to explore new places, Mohenjo-Daro is sure to be the highlight of your trip to Pakistan.

Weird shortcuts

I have some shortcuts on my desktop (windows) that when I view them inside BumpTop, the program (Bumptop) changes it's address and makes them unfindable and with no icon (blank one). But if I change the address to the real place within the bumptop software the shortcut is recognized and doesn't change again.

Walls and layout

Everytime I open up bumptop it changes the layout, so I see only the floor, but when I reset the layout so see the walls, If I try to put something like a sticky note on the wall it does not let me do so.

Bumptop refuses to work

Honestly this is my first time opening an issue on GitHub, however I haven't found any solutions to the issue I am facing. Whenever I try to load bumptop, no matter the version I have downloaded from here this

happens and it refuses to load any further. I have tried cleaning my hard drive, and even after removing about 200gb from my hard drive it refuses to load, there was a person who had a similar screenshot said that it was getting stuck on a shortcut or something and i even removed all shortcuts from the desktop...Yet nothing works. I would love to get any help in making this work as I feel the program would help me stay organized.

BumpTop Flash builder instructions issues

i dont understand: when i got the SDK 4.6 i multiple src files through out the file so i have no idea, which src file i must copy over? compared to the lib, is in root, so that i can find easy to copy over.

And the TileUI_Flex.mxml, i cannot find that anywhere, so what should i do now?

new to this. please advise me.

run in windows 11 22H2 then it perform a strange view

When I hit Run, it shows a BumpTop desktop with high brightness, high transparency (but not full transparency), and high exposure. I can even see my Windows11 desktop wallpaper through this app.
when I use compatible mode to run this program as windows 8 it does not work

Windows 10 "task view" causes bumptop to go transparent

Upon startup bumptop works perfect. But as soon as i launch "task view" on win 10, bumptop becomes transparent.

closing and restarting bumptop does not solve the issue. It only fixes after restarting the machine. and the fix only lasts until i open task view again.

Retina

How much work would it be to make this Retina on the Mac?
