alfred-messages's Issues

Curtailed message length (Release 1.1.0, Alfred 4)

It seems that I am only able to send messages with a maximum length of 61 characters (anything longer is cut-off). I'm using the syntax of m [contact name] [message body].

My apologies if I'm doing something wrong, as this is my first experiment with Alfred and its workflows. I'm using Release 1.1.0 and Alfred 4, in case this is helpful. Thanks!

Compatibility with Alfred 3

This isn't compatible with Alfred 3. 😢 Are you using any of the new Alfred 4 workflow objects?

I tried the release from 2017, but when I triggered the workflow, it gave me a strange error.

Anything typed after the initial "m" does not direct towards the messages app.

I'm a bit new to Alfreds and it did take a bit of tinkering to get yarn going butI'm pretty sure I got it to run properly and the warning about Alfred having no boundaries isn't something to worry about. See screenshot attached.

but when I type "m steve hi Steve" I get the following:

basically anything typed after the initial "m" does not direct towards the messages app.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Installation via npm fails

Some of the dependencies are old and fail to install. i.e. sqlite3
So the workflow never gets installed.

Regular text messages cannot be sent

iMessages send fine but text messages attempt to send as an iMessage, then consistently fail to send as a text message even with manual input.

Option to ignore email addresses.

Email addresses will pop up as options, even though they're not associated with the contact's iMessage account, making them useless. Could you add an option to ignore email addresses from the contacts app?

Quotes cause failure

Thanks for this useful workflow!

I just noticed that if I try to send a message with quotation marks in it, the workflow fails due to a SyntaxError. Probably some escaping issue?

Thanks again :)

Make messages fit into alfred UI

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, minim molestie argumentum est at, pri legere torquatos instructior ex. Vis id odio atomorum oportere, quem modo fabellas sit at, dicat semper est ne. Apeirian detraxit pri eu. No solum accusam has. Ius ne harum mundi clita, eu pro tation audiam.

...would become

Lorem ipsum dolor sit...pro tation audiam.

"m" plus query doesn't direct to messages

I'm a bit new to Alfreds and it did take a bit of tinkering to get yarn going butI'm pretty sure I got it to run properly and the warning about Alfred having no boundaries isn't something to worry about. See screenshot attached.
