Social media icons in the footer align left on mobile view

What is affected by this bug?

Where on the platform does it happen?

Only with the social icons in the footer

Expected behavior (i.e. solution)

The <ul> should align center in the footer, but align left in the contact and splash pages.

Add archive page for collections and tags

Give option to show tags on home page

Would be nice to allow the option to sort articles by tags from the home page.

Headers should have more top margin to delineate sections

Adding whitespace will help to make blog posts seem less busy.

Add the PayPal icon for contact

H2 header is larger font than H1

The H1 font should be larger than H2. The blog posts list font-size should be unaffected by the improvement, however.

Splash as initial page?

This is not a bug or an issue, but more a question specific to this theme:

How do I set the splash as the landing or main page?

This is my first experience with a Jekyll theme and I'm relatively new to the web development world. I forked this repo and started creating my website from there, tweaking the _config.yml and other pages as I saw necessary.

To try and solve my "issue", I tried modifying the index.html, such as changing the "layout" and "redirect_from:" to splash and /splash/ respectively (although the index.html suggests to edit the theme's home layout instead, there is no such home layout). I also tried modifying the layouts, switching the names of default.html to splash.html and vice versa. Lastly, I tried modifying the _config.yml baseurl and url. Nothing seems to produce the result I'm looking for.

Help??

Edit (December 17th, 2018): also tried commenting out the splash.md title and changing the permalink to / . This seems to "work" or at least it shows the splash as the main landing page. However, after this I can never access the blog page. It seems that the issue lies on the pagination plugin which apparently needs an index.html and breaks the blog page when I add a permalink for the blog.md.

On tag header click send to site root

Send to site root when user clicks on tag header (/tag/#) send to site root, and on hover cross out the tag.

Clicking on a blog post tag doesn't do anything

When you click on the tag

Where on the platform does it happen?

At the bottom of the blog post pages

Expected behavior (i.e. solution)

Clicking on the tags should take you to the archive page with a list of all the posts that have that same tag assigned.

Vertically align footer icons

Icons should be vertically centered in the footer

Fix 100vh on mobile

Make landing content pages work on mobile devices without 100vh since headers stick with safari and chrome on palm devices.

Decrease pagination margin top and bottom

Unnecessary margin heights on pagination div in the blog view.
