Currently this code wrongly triggers a failure:

            currentUser.on('authenticated', function () {
                var params = ...
                    defaults = ...
                $.extend(defaults, params);
           }

This is because the rule is checking for whether any ancestor of the call to $.extend() is a call statement. We should check if the ancestor is a call statement AND that there is no function expression between it and the usage of $.extend.
