type Map<String, dynamic>' is not a subtype of type 'Map<String, String>'
you should change 3 lines to make it work.
Map<String, dynamic> fileContent;
Map<String, dynamic> content = {key: value};
Map<String, dynamic> jsonFileContent = json.decode(jsonFile.readAsStringSync());
Where is the JSON file stored in my device?
Hello,
I checked in many folders including:
- /storage/emulated/0 (= sdcard)
- sdcard/Android/data
- sdcard/data
But I cannot find the file .json stored in my device.
Where is it?
What string to add after your "dir.path" variable to reach the Download folder?
jsonFile = new File(dir.path + "/" + fileName);
Device: GALAXY S8+ SM-G955F. Android 8.0. Not Rooted
Flutter beta v0.5.1. Dart 2.0.0-dev.58.0. Windows 10
Thanks and regards
JSON is deprecated now
Thanks a lot for your YouTube video tutorials! I've been following your teachings, but found an warning when typing your code in Android studio, seems like JSON is deprecated now, we may use json instead:
void createFile(Map<String, String> content, Directory dir, String fileName) {
print("Creating file!");
File file = new File(dir.path + "/" + fileName);
file.createSync();
fileExists = true;
file.writeAsStringSync(JSON.encode(content));
}
