It looks like master_2018.json is a copy of master_2017.json. I've only given it a cursory examination, but one year's tweets (2017) have the same number of characters of one month's tweets (Jan. 2018), which seems implausible. Additionally, not many of the create date strings in master_2018.json contain 2018.

While it makes sense in general to archive the literal tweets, Trump's TwitLonger oeuvre is the exception. Each of these tweets was composed as a piece, typically not much longer than 140 chars, but then chopped by TwitLonger without regard for semantics. Here are two typical chopped tweets as they appeared on Twitter:

• Despite previous tweet, Dennis Rodman would do a better job than the current (cont) http://t.co/hWRVkgUDC1
• To show you how dishonest some of the press is, they took my funny & (cont) http://t.co/TJe9xzadbz

I recently scraped Trump's TwitLonger URL's (about 400 of them) as part of my own text analysis work and found them clarifying!

Happy new year! Its 2018; could you add the 2018 archive?

We've missed out on a flurry of bonkers tweets between 4/19 through today (4/25/2018).

The last tweet in this repo is at Sun Jan 01 05:00:10 +0000 2017 and was last year's happy new year. Not sure what is happening here. And, the zip file seems for 2017 seems abnormally short. @bpb27 was the data accidentally deleted?

I was archiving tweets my timeline saw for a few years, here is a dump of tweets from @RealDonaldTrump that I have which that aren't in this archive.

Hi,
Thanks for collecting all this data! I am wondering if there is something wrong with the data from August 1st until December 21st. The field follower_count suddenly jumps and then falls back again. The following picture illustrates this phenomena (ignore the gaps).

Is this correct? The only reason I can come up with is that there was an attack or fake followers were contracted... However during this period the number of followers barely changes.

Any insights will be helpful!

Can we get an hourly archive for tweets since the new year?

At the start of 2018 there appears to be no data in the condensed 2018 file until 2018-01-09 23:07:09 (id 950866561153331202). Last date in condensed 2017 file is 2018-01-01 13:37:52 (id 947824196909961216).
