An in-range update of typescript is breaking the build 🚨

Version 2.4.1 of typescript just got published.

Branch Build failing 🚨
Dependency typescript
Current Version 2.4.0
Type devDependency

This version is covered by your current version range and after updating it in your project the build failed.

As typescript is “only” a devDependency of this project it might not break production or downstream projects, but “only” your build or test tools – preventing new deploys or publishes.

I recommend you give this issue a high priority. I’m sure you can resolve this 💪

Publish to NPM?

Hi there,
I noticed you rebranded but haven't yet published to npm. I have two questions:

  1. Are you planning to publish?
  2. Have you thought about including more example code?

Thanks

best way to disable exiftool2

I am running scrappy in a serverless environment where I have limited ability to spawn processes and definitely do not have access to perl. What is the best way to disable exiftool2 spawn? I attempted to only use the html plugin with scrapeUrl, but I either don't have the syntax right, or it still manages to call exiftool2.

I appreciate any insight you might be able to provide.

An in-range update of popsicle is breaking the build 🚨

Version 9.2.0 of popsicle was just published.

Branch Build failing 🚨
Dependency popsicle
Current Version 9.1.0
Type dependency

This version is covered by your current version range and after updating it in your project the build failed.

popsicle is a direct dependency of this project, and it is very likely causing it to break. If other packages depend on yours, this update is probably also breaking those in turn.

consider schema.org as the normalized schema?

This project makes a lot of sense to me as there are so many different ways this information is embedded these days. I was wondering if it made sense to leverage some of the work at schema.org to standardize the json blob that comes back based on the schemas already defined.

@danbri any thoughts, guidance?

Demo link?

Hi @blakeembrey! The project looks great and I'm looking forward to playing with it more. Given the expansive nature of the data you fetch via this project, I was wondering if you plan to have a demo link where folks could play around with urls to see how the library works?

The project seems to have a lot of cool things to show off :)

Support for OEmbed

Currently OEmbed is not used. When OEmbed is discovered, we should make a second request to retrieve the metadata.
