Permanent organ damage is not something that stems purely from Vox.
It's a genuine mechanic, within the code. If an organ is incredibly damaged, partially necrotic, or shoddily repaired, it'll retain a set negative value to its health.

this bug report is to point out a big with brain organs, which I believe are exceptions to the rule.

My experience with non-vox brain organs is that no matter how damaged they are, if the oxygenation is at 100%, and I mend it with a trauma kit, it goes back to 100% without scarring. this was not the case with the voxes brain, which got damaged despite the optimum conditions present for its repair. My opinion is that either the vox brain should be corrected to fall in line with the rest of all species, where if it is repaired when proper conditions are met it returns to full functionality or all cases of brain surgery should result in permanently scarred brain organs if they are exceptionally damaged no matter the state of oxygenation.
