asset-flinger's Issues

2.77 updates

Hi Manu. Flinger works just fine in 2.76b, but with recent updates for 2.77, it screws with font rendering after activation. This only occurs after invoking the operation in the add mesh menu.

If you plan to keep maintaining this addon, that'd be great.

Subdir and submodules request

Hey flingers. @meta-androcto and I maintain a repo of a collection of addons (https://github.com/meta-androcto/blenderpython) and we have started moving addons with git repos into submodules. This way, any updates maintainers push to their repo, our repo will automatically pull when the users git pull.

I noticed with asset-flinger that the addon is contained in a subdirectory within the repo (/Asset-Flinger/add_mesh_asset_flinger/*) which means if added as a submodule it won't register with blender. If it doesn't ruin anything, I'd like to request the addon be moved up a level into its root directory. That would make it easier for us and others to maintain and nobody has to worry about copy/pasting or symlinks.

Thanks for consideration and happy blending!

if 3d view editor too small, it's not good to use [Suggestion]

01

Hello, if the 3d view too small, the Asset-Finger can't display completely, and I can't drag it down, so hope can add some function, like dray LMB or roll MMB.

BTW, it's only support .obj now, very hope it's can support .blend, and I can store blender information in the asset, like modifies, curve, even animation, like Append(Shift+F1), but more easy and human. Others, one time only support import one object now, hope can select multi object by one time.

Verrrrrrrrry thanks for your addons, it's so nice, just want to say thanks. sorry for my bad English : )

Does not install from .zip file on Windows 10

I recently upgraded to Windows 10, and am using Blender version 2.76b. My issue is that the .zip file does not install the addon, and does not show up with a search of enabled addons after I try to install from file. I have successfully installed Pro Lighting Skies and other addons from .zip files, so I am fairly sure it isn't an issue on my end that is causing it. I also tried relaunching Blender, but that did not help.

Any hope of this addon returning?

I really got a lot of use out of the Asset Flinger and I'm sad to see it isn't available now. I guess I will need to keep a spare copy of older Blender version so I can still use this.
