Can we find an alternative to maptiler to tile the basemap (e.g. the UK 1851 railway map from flickr collection, located in G:drive)?
Could we use a QGIS server to create a WMS, for example?

It looks like there is no historical gazetteer at street level.
Three options:

1. for Manchester, I have a basic incomplete list of co-ordinates for buildings and some streets
2. manually OCR and geo-code trade directories? - http://specialcollections.le.ac.uk/cdm/landingpage/collection/p16445coll4
3. I also have GIS shapefiles of Manchester streets traced from the OS first ed. 5' map - I can extract the co-ordinates from the shapefile?

For towns, there is a PDF of historical gazetteer from Vision of Britain - I've put it in the Dropbox folder. Convert to text, and convert the grid refs to decimal lat/long??

Is the plugin now set up to use the NLS map?

Is there any way to show all the points on the map overlay, i.e. as it did in the standard geo-location plugin before you merged the map layer with it?
At the moment it's just showing one point at a time (and listing only 16 out of the 793 items).
If that's too complicated, then we'll think of other ways of displaying all the data at once on the front page.

Find flickr map to use as the basemap for whole of UK

The csv file outputgeo6.csv (G: drive>BL Labs>Competition winners 2015>Political meetings Mapper>outputgeo6.csv) is the list of meetings so far, with lat and long columns. How can I batch upload this to Omeka Geolocation plugin so it plots the co-ordinates automatically? At the moment I can only see how to do it individually manually.
