calibre-plugin-hide-statusbar's Introduction

Hide Statusbar Calibre Plugin

Pretty simple plugin to hide the statusbar in Calibre. Personally I think it gives the interface a cleaner look, and I generally don't need the information shown there. This plugin still allows the status bar to be shown with either a button or keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+S.

Install

Download this repository as a zip file and import it into Calibre:

Settings -> Advanced -> Plugins -> Load Plugin from file

Calibre will need to be restarted for plugin to take effect.

calibre-plugin-hide-statusbar's Issues

Calibre import error: __init__.py missing from top level folder

When attempting to load the plugin, Calibre throws this error. Here are the details:

calibre, version 5.25.0

calibre.customize.InvalidPlugin: The plugin in '/Users/stuartlombard/Downloads/calibre-plugin-hide-statusbar-master.zip' is invalid. It does not contain a top-level init.py file

Nonetheless, when I restarted Calibre, the plugin appears to have been successfully loaded. So I am not sure whether the issue is with the plugin or with Calibre, given that your plugin clearly has the init.py file in the top level.
