Thanks for your support everyone! Of course we will keep our promise and release the source code for Principia.
Better yet, we're going to give the series yet another shot and take Principia to the next level. We're gonna combine the best from Principia and Apparatus and make the best physics puzzler ever.
This new third game in the Apparatus series will also be free and open source!
@markozajc giving up was the last resort, we really tried to keep going but couldn't. Give me another chance and I won't let anyone down. It might sound silly but we're going to start off with a Kickstarter campaign in 2 weeks. I believe we have a much better chance this time and I will explain why very soon.

Hello there. I am JOELwindows7 in Principia. it's been 3 years since the git has shown, but source code still abscent. I have a lot of trouble. we have a lot of trouble! We are lost. Some other communities have downvote button, many unstable people, and stuffs. We do not know what to build. We have no idea what should we do. If we hastily build and publish, we will get lousy votes that embarrasses us, and humiliates us drastically.
We may have our reputation destroyed. We may be known as the worst builder ever. We miss Principia. our glorious days back then, now scronch by the financial issues.
Please, listen to us. thank you.

Is this project dead? It seems like a such a neat idea but it's website is down and the developer(s) don't reply to emails (and they don't seem to respond to anything else either).
EDIT: Does anyone here have the game itself (for PC)? As far as I can tell it was free during its last months.

Will this be fully open source and free (as in freedom) do you have plans on making things like assets creative commons and such? Will you be using a permisive license like the gpl or the bsd which i heard you mention before?

Now imagine how the player will move in three-dimensional space, quickly, without a keyboard and mouse. This will be hell on the touchscreen.

At least there need to be a "2.5D mode" that make objects move like that in the original Principia. But infinite layers (maybe customizable) in a 2.5d level maybe awesome.
And I think some features will be great:
No limits to slider values. maybe a "Pro mode" for this.
Interactive builder. Lets player to control objects like adventure robot builder, in its range. When in adventure mode, its range will be counted as build range. Input a signal to disable.
Interactive force gameplay setting. Interactive(interactive objects and builder function) dragging will have a force to push other objects away.
Object rename and list in edit mode. Easy to select objects far away and stacked objects.
Optimized synthesizer with no latency.

Hope the 3D simulation will be as stable as principia ones. At least a simple car with 4 wheels sized the same need to run a straight line without steering.
