When a user's internet connection momentarily drops, they are immediately

During a conversation using the BBB client, the listeners in the voice
participants window was randomly going to mute. I could still un-mute a
listener to correct the problem but sometimes it would go back to being
muted after a couple seconds. This all happened within the span of a couple
minutes, after which the client was working properly.

Re-design:
Investigate integrating the thumbnails window back into the presentation
window as an overlay, so the thumbnails become visible when the presenter
moves the point to the bottom of the presentation window. There would be
scroll left and right buttons, like Flickr's slide show display.

Reduce the steps for broadcasting a video to the following:
1. Click "Broadcast Video" button
Note: If the user does not have any video camera, this button should not be
shown.
After clicking, the video chat module appears.
If there is = 1 one valid video source, automatically select, else if there
is > 1 video source, then
2a. Display the settings dialog to let the user choose.
2b. Users chooses and clicks 'OK'
Flash prompts to let the user connect to the video.
3. User clicks OK in flash prompt.
At this point, the video should automatically broadcast. There shouldn't
be any stop button.
To stop broadcasting the video, the user needs only close the dialog.

1. Before the presenter changes the zoom level, he or she can resize the
presentation window and the slides will automatically zoom (as in fit to
window)

A presenter can eject a caller, but not a viewer.

1. Open BigBlueButton client behind firewall
The client says 'connection' but eventually fails to connect.
The client should ping the server first before showing the user the login
dailog. This way, the user will know right away if the client is able to
successfully connect.

The problem is it might create a very large SWF file for the client.
The upload process should warn the presenter if the image is going to be
too large; this way, they could adjust the resolution of the image before
upload.

The Viewer can still toggle the play/stop button, but there is no video to
see.
Expected that the play mode for the play/stop button would be unavailable

directly below the BigBlueButton menu bar (region with with the camera
icon, Logout button, etc.). The default today has "whitespace" between the
menu bar and top windows. This is fine on big high resolution monitors,
but on other systems (such as the one I'm using right now), my first action
on after logging in is often to move all the windows higher to better
utilize screen real estate."
Resolution:
Change make the initial layout of modules more snug with the top of the
screen (see attached image).

You should see a small table (both in thumbnail and in presentation)

BigBlueButton client informs the user (incorrectly) to upgrade to the
latest version.
User gets a message
"You are using FlashPlayer v.10,0,12. Please upgrade to the newest version.
You will be redirected when you click OK"
If user clicks 'OK' they are re-directed to the Flash download page.

The indicator shows "1 of 20" on the current thumbnail.
3. Click on the scroll bar to page down.
The indicator shows "1 of 20" on one of the visible thumbnail, where it
should show the correct slide number, such as "5 or 20".

To assist resolution of login problems, it would be helpful if the login
screen provided more information on why the user was unable to login.
Such as
- Unable to contact the server (Red5 not accepting connections)
- Invalid user-name or password

cumulative effect of both zooms, leaving the presenter and viewer out of

The current steps to change presenter -- drag-and-drop the presenter's name
over the (Presenter) button -- is unintuitive to a new user
An easier approach would be to change the (Presenter) button to a drop-down
menu that shows all users. This drop-down would be active only for
presenters, making it very easy to select a different presenter.

Notes:
Why would I want to do that? Whenever there is an error in the system and I want to
reconnect to
the server. For instance (see separate bug), when I click the full screen button on
the
presentation, the window takes over the screen. I can only minimize it to an icon,
but I cannot
change resize the window, eg, in order to drag the presenter name from the viewers
window.
Quick fix:
1. Close application
2. Reopen URL
Drawback:
This is not a very professional solution.

Problem: Red5 has changed their svn directory structure, so you need to make a quick
update to
your "sumilon" bigbluebutton-server/ivysettings.xml file
Simple fix to tell others:
1. Open ivysettings.xml
2. Update Red5 googlecode svn (artifact pattern) locations
From this:
http://red5.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/repository
To this:
http://red5.googlecode.com/svn/repository
Then retry "ant build" or "ant server" and it should build fine.

There are too many steps to view a presenter's video.
The steps should be just double-click on video icon next to presenter's name.
Remove the steps to start/stop the video. If the user doesn't want to see
the video, they can close the video window.

1. Maximize Presentation Window
If a chat comes in, the presenter will not see it.
Should add a small notification icon to the Presentation window indicating
that a new chat message has been posted.
Once the user restores the Presentation window to normal size (i.e. exit
full-screen mode or clicks the resize button in the upper right), the
notification can disappear.

A very good feature for presenters would be to show the number of users who
are actually viewing the web cam.
Currently, the presenter is broadcasting, but has not feedback on whether
one (or more) users are viewing his or her web cam.
