Need a way to display PDF inside post-search layout

I have tried changing up the target API and also have made sure all findViewById declarations are not outside of the onCreate . I am sure this is a simple issue that will be closed very quick.
As of now, PDf Viewer (Daniel Thomas found) cannot iterate/read PDF text/characters.
Displaying PDF at least is a start.
Currently SharedPreferences is crashing when being called before the change of an Activity
My SearchView widget is not displaying.
Is this due to formatting (layout / xml mistake), or code in MainActivity.java?
I figure this is an easy fix, but I can not figure it out.
