DodgeGame

A game that I am creating for a school assessment. It is made using Visual Studio and has been partially tested with Mono on Linux.

All assets have been supplied by my school for use in our (the students') games, except for the background image, which was provided by NASA.

dodgegame's Issues

F1 doesn't do anything

Scoreboard is in the reverse order

Add some sound effects

Add some sound effects

Disable Maximize button

Shouldn't allow numbers in username

Life count dialog should state range

User name could be offensive

No scrolling in help window

Rectangular Hit boxes are unrealistic

Add a platformer section

Add a platformer section, perhaps when the alien reaches a target planet or something. This could also be used to add a story.

Change the way scoring works

"move mouse over window" flickers on resume

Add a more traditional style menu screen on launch

When the user launches the game, show a MessageBox with text along the lines of:

DodgeGame uses an online service, hosted by Mount Maunganui College, to collect your username, score, and the number of lives you chose. No personal or identifying information is collected, except for your username if you chose to use one. This information is public, so you should choose a username that you are comfortable with sharing. You can opt-out of the online scoreboard in Settings.

Keyboard shortcuts can be unreliable

Spaceship moves partially off the edge of the screen
