A second screen companion app for the game Subnautica. Built with VueJS for reactivity, and an emphasis on visual theming to maintain immersion.

Made to ease the crafting process by turning your phone or tablet into an always-on, expanded version of the in-game "PDA," eliminating the need to memorize (or frequently stop and check) crafting recipes for needed items.

Click items in the "Items" tab to add the crafting recipe to the "List" tab. Click items in the "List" tab to remove them. The "Notes" tab allows for miscellaneous reminders. All user data is kept in localStorage, and will be there when you come back, even after closing your browser tab/window.

Just want to be transparent and make it completely obvious that the app is not official or licensed in any way.

Update Health Kit Icon

They're green now!

Doublecheck other graphics, but I'm pretty sure nothing else has changed. Update as needed!

Change index from PHP to HTML

I'd like to use GitHub Pages to host the app, make use of CI/CD, etc.

Doublecheck; but I'm pretty sure there's no PHP code in the file. If that is the case, then change the filetype to HTML.

Improve Visuals for Pinned Items

While in the "Items" view, there's no visual indication that an item has been added to the "List" view. Some kind of persistent highlight color or icon would solve that.

It'd also be good to add some "gesture" toward the nav button for the "Items" view; just to remind the user where the pinned items can then be found. Ideally, a very brief "flash" of color or some other highlight on the nav button itself, triggered every time an item is added.

Change background to video

The current static background image is nice; but a very subtle motion might (?) be cool. I'll try to get a short video from the game, edit it to loop smoothly, optimize it and see how it looks.

Improve intro copy

The intro copy is a little long and a little boring. Some columns and icons would go a long way here to shorten the delivery of basic instructions.

Add Actions for CI/CD

See the Actions in my other Vue repositories for the necessary scripts.

Update Vue

Currently using some version of 2, I'd like to get that up to the latest version. This will entail a lot of restructuring and miscellaneous file changes in the existing codebase in order to get it minimally working in the new file structure.
