smk-legacy-ui's Issues

BC Route Planner API integration

Use the DataBC Location Services' Route Planner API; integrate in map UI to allow for routed direction searches between points.

Documentation - Reference apps

Provide sample apps/reference implementations for users of the SMK. Examples of possible templates: master, imaplite, bc parks, etc.

Layers - Filterability

Allow end users to be able to apply a cascade filter, as configured by the author, and then show an interactive results list with key information (attribute, secondary attribute). DMF is a good example of this.

Startup Parameters

Support startup parameters to control:

Search by attribute(s)
ability to set an extent and zoom level on the fly
mapOnly
Chainable (i.e. Add Layer 43, query features from layer 43, zoom to the features)
Feature suppression (even if the widgets are configured, provide the ability to omit them via URL params)

Base map Changer widget

Allow end users to change the base maps on-the-fly based on the pre-configured choices made by the author.

Add a tool to call SOS w Report

How to reproduce

  • SMK version I'm using:
  • Browser (with version) I'm using:
  • OS/Platform (with version) I'm using:
  • step 1
  • step 2

What behaviour I'm expecting and which behaviour I'm seeing

Minimal example reproducing the issue

  • this example is as simple as possible
  • this example does not rely on any third party code

Universal Hosting

DataBC is not the sole host of apps developed using SMK.
Developer can choose to host the leaflet app anywhere that can reach the APIs.

Markup Shareability

Provide of mark-up ability, similar to the old IMF sessions, that could be shared.

Statistics Support

Include support for SMK hits to be easily included in the DataBC Stats program; Integration with Galileo; possible SparkGeo trial.

Set up Tomcat

Pre-defined Query Links

DMF has the ability to pre-define query links within the mapping app (on the fence - definitely lower priority).

Author-configured basemaps

Allow the map developer/author to pre-configure any number of basemaps for user within the resultant mapping application.

Intro Panel

Allow author to include text, image, video, link embeds.

Author-configured list of layers

Allow author to specify initial layers on load, visible layers, layer order in list and draw order.
Originally the team said "no UI necessary" for this feature but this condition no longer applies.

Rich pop-up configuration

Allow authors to specify HTML to give output structure to feature pop-ups e.g. tables and font formatting tags
Support attribute value(s) along with static text labels, e.g. Well ID: {well id value}
Dynamic hyperlink generation, e.g. http://www.url.com/page?item={some id}
Embed videos, etc. sky's the limit in terms of html support

See DMF KML pop-up support configuration as an example. Example site: BC Parks

Printability

Provide end users the ability to print what they see on the map screen.

Shareability

Provide end users ways of sharing the map on Facebook, twitter, via URL with the specific extent.

Layout Options

Layout can be specifed as standalone or embeddable. Embeddable format needs to be consumable by CMSLite.

Geomark API integration

Optional configurable 'tool' to author/load Geomarks using the DataBC Location Services' Geomark API.
