I have looked all around the res folder, but cannot seem to find the color for the Date text.

I need to change the text that is red.

We are using baker for iOS and currently testing our ebooks for it's launch in Android. Currently our setup is to use in5 to convert our indesign books into PHB files.

This particular bugs happens when we try to swipe a section of the book that is scrollable horizontally. For example:

• A big interactive map that exceeds window size
• A gallery with scrollable photos

If you swipe vertically it works correctly. However, if you try to swipe horizontally the script automatically captures the gesture and initiates a page change.

We currently implemented workarounds around those issues (by not using horizontal scrolls) but any help towards solving them would be appreciated.

sorry if this was asked before but I searched on the forum and didn't find a solution.
I'm testing an app created with baker Android on the device (a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo), everything works fine but when I launch the app on the device it returns the error 'Could not read the shelf from the device' and the app close.
Inside Android Studio I changed all the paths in the 'strings.xml' file so I don't know what I'm doing wrong
Anyone can help me ?

Hi, i try to use this repo but when i read the issue, the webview did not show the content.
The error in logcat is : E/webcoreglue﹕ Should not happen: no rect-based-test nodes found.

Sometimes, while downloading an issue, the program seems to be downloading and unzipping correctly, but after unzip reaches 100%, when you click on read, it shows the message "The book.json was not found for issue " (where is the title of the book in the shelf.json). The problem is that this issue is random. Sometimes it works perfectly, sometimes it doesn't work, sometimes after a couple retries (archiving the issue and redownloading it) it works.

I suspect that maybe at some point the download fails and instead of notifying of the failure it simply tries to unzip the broken file.

I request advise on how to diagnose and solve this issue, as we have not found workarounds and it prevents us from releasing the app.

It doesn't need to be a wiki, just a few bullets of instruction with comments when strictly needed...

To rest my app on the emulator I have to export it as an .apk then install it to the virtual device in terminal. Is their an easier way to do this? It doesn't take that long, but for making minor fixes and checking them is taxing.

The Android Manifest file (which is where version updates are made, v.1.1 etc.) seems to be missing the versioncode and versionname parts in your code, and in their place is a apache licensing agreement. Is there any way to change the version number for updates in the baker code?

We have seen that alpha channels don't work properly when opening our books in Baker for android. The browser draws a white background for the images.

Apart from remaking all images into prerendered composites, which is quite time consuming, we haven't found any workaround and any tips on how to solve this would be much appreciated.

I have some issues with the magazine I am creating in android.The problems are videos and GIFs. The videos are html5 and there are on autoplay. They start playing from the previous page and they do not stop after turning to the next page.They stop only after I turn 2 pages.The GIFs just play for one second and then pause. Any suggestions? Please Help!

On baker for iOS, if you add "?referrer=Baker" it will always open into the book, with a "go back" arrow.

This behavior is not replicated on baker for android, which opens all links into chrome. That is not bad, but the bad itself (it's annoying but acceptable). The problem is that it doesn't remove the "?referrer=Baker" section and so, some pages get confused and won't open correctly.

Of course, the workaround is to make a separate book for the android version without the referrals, but I would appreciate a bit of insight of how to solve this without having two different shelves.

Hello, when reading magazine the pages load very slow, the web view is being created first for a while, and then it takes much time to render page. A white screen is being shown during this time. Is there any chance to make it load faster? Or is android related? Backer on iOS works much much faster.

Hello, I'm testing the Baker Android App and have a problem. When I open my hpub I see a blank white screen, when I double tap the screen my index appears (as normally) and I can click a page in an index, but it is being opened in a modal window.

What could be the reason? iOS works perfectly. It is the same pub with an index file. Does android version have known issues with it?

How do I add google play to the cloud console?

My baker app loads on my android simulator, I can see the newstand after 2min watching the splash image.

On the other hand, once I generate a signed app in debug or release mode, it doesn't load on my smartphone.

What can I do? Any idea for this issue? I'm desperate.
