This web application was created as a collaborative group project for Phase 1 of Flatiron School's full time software engineering bootcamp.
This project was created using PokéApi, a RESTful API for Pokémon.

Setup

• Open the parent file, find 'index.html', and open that file in your browser.

• Choose the ID of the pokémon you want to battle with and the ID of the pokémon you want to battle against.

• Enter the IDs in their respective inputs in the form, and click the 'battle' button.

• Click on the move buttons to select a move to attack the rival pokémon. Your rival wil automatically attack back.

• Once a pokémon's HP has reached 0, the winner will be named.

• Press the ESC key to reset the battle.

Add amount of damage to 'you used x move' text

obvi clean up css

each time user submits new pokemon id's and then clicks a move, the event triggers twice

STRETCH GOAL: implement some sort of non-GET fetch request to the app

disable move buttons when battle is won

add text somewhere that says something like "press esc key to reset battle"

after losing and resetting, 'rival won' text still appears

filter options repeating

'Rival ID' not working after reset, but 'Your ID' works fine

after hitting the 'battle' button the ID inputs areas clear so that after you finish a battle you can hit escape and start over by re-entering new IDs. The 'your ID' works as normal, allowing you to enter new ID/select new character, but 'rival ID' does not.

after losing and resetting, your HP remains red

if battle won, rival hp is red so esc reset should change color back to black

add bottom of page padding

add coloring to each type text to match type (ex. grass=green, water=blue)

pikachu footer gets pushed down off screen during battle

Maybe change move damage to be random

maybe add type to each pokemon and allow user to filter by type

have esc reset delete "you used x" and "rival used y" and "you won" text
