I followed the directions here, created an App Service
on the portal and then went to https://<app_name>.scm.azurewebsites.net/ZipDeploy and did the zip deploy of the nodejs-docs-hello-world-master
code. The deployment seems to have succeeded.
Here's the zip deploy log:

Then went to the app url and got this error: You do not have permission to view this directory or page.

You can control how Node is hosted within IIS using the following options:
* watchedFiles: semi-colon separated list of files that will be watched for changes to restart the server
* node_env: will be propagated to node as NODE_ENV environment variable
* debuggingEnabled - controls whether the built-in debugger is enabled
See https://github.com/tjanczuk/iisnode/blob/master/src/samples/configuration/web.config for a full list of options

What am I missing? How do I get it to work?
(Running WA on Linux, w/ a "Built-in" docker container with Node.js 6.10 Runtime Stack)
When setting the startup file to be process.json I see the following node error logs (from /home/LogFiles/node_0_err.log
/home/site/wwwroot/process.json: line 2: name: command not found
/home/site/wwwroot/process.json: line 4: instances: command not found
/home/site/wwwroot/process.json: line 5: merge_logs: command not found
it seems like the container is trying to execute process.json, rather than apply it to pm2.
any pointers?
thanks.
I successfully deployed the test app using zip deployment. Not to deploying my own app. A couple of questions:
Do I zip the files with the node-modules
directory or without? (while installing I always did npm install --save package_name
).
If no node-modules
is required, do I still keep the dependencies in my package.json
file?

Hello, when I try to Build a Node.js Express app and deploy it to Azure as a Linux web app I am not having any Web apps appear to choose from , the drop down menu just says 'no results found'
Tux
ToolJet Cloud
In dark mode, when a text widget is placed on top of the container the text should be visible as by default the hex code in the Styles section is set to #000
(black).
In dark mode, when a text widget is placed on top of the container widget the text is not visible. The reason being the text color is white even when the default hex-code is set to #000
. When try to change the color to black the hex-code changes to #000000ff

add this section to web.config that
<httpRuntime targetFramework="4.5.2" maxRequestLength="600000" executionTimeout="3600" />
and application could not started at all
how can I increase executionTimeout in node app in Azure?

This is my relevant part of server.js
var port = process.env.PORT || 1337;
app.listen(port);
console.log("Server listening at port "+port+"... URL: http://"+os.hostname()+":"+port);
But I'm not able to access this application from URL.
I'm able to connect manually using the Kudu Console.
Can you suggest what may be the problem?
Thanks in Advance
Please provide an explanation in the README
of the origin/utility/documentation of process.json
Thank you!

When deploy this app to Azure App Service on Windows, the response body has a number on top line and bottom line. This is related to double gzip, one from node and one from IIS.
Download project, runs locally fine with npm start. Compress files to zip, deploy to azure - "You do not have permission to view this directory or page." is displayed when you navigate to the web app.
