FoodTrucks - Node API App for Azure App Service

This sample application contains a Node.js app using Express. You can run it locally, or learn how to deploy it to Azure and use Swagger to define the REST API.

Quick Start

1. Clone the repo, install

git clone https://github.com/Azure-Samples/app-service-api-node-food-trucks.git foodtrucks
cd foodtrucks

2. Install the node packages

npm install

3. Start the node server

npm start

4. Open the browser to http://localhost:1337

app.setHost is not a function

I get this error when trying to start the server

The app works locally, but not after deployment

Thank you for putting this project out publicly. I'm also glad to find the api-app pattern on the azure platform. Your code worked exactly as expected locally (I'm running ubuntu 14) but not after deployment. I did not modify a line of code, just deployed exactly as it was installed on my development machine. Loading the app URL in a browser results in a failed GET request (error code 500). The streaming logs are no more helpful, merely stating that there was a 500 server error.

What information would help with this inquiry?
