After an image has been exploded, the next time its ViewHolder is bound (either by scrolling, or pressing reset), the image is no longer centered in the CardView.

A placeholder image should be added to the Picasso call which will size the cardviews and prevent the unloaded->loaded transition from being so jarring

The crash occurs when pressing on an already animating recycler view cell.

If all items are deleted from the adapter it becomes stuck on empty, and requires you to press reset. The infinite scrolling effect relies on a scroll listener attached to the LayoutManager to trigger adding additional items to the adapter. The listener is not triggered by removing items from the adapter. Another loading trigger needs to be added to prevent the adapter from running out of items.
