Yes. That is correct.

@ostanik "authenticationFlowType": "CUSTOM_AUTH_WITHOUT_SRP"
is not supported in the configuration file. This type of authentication is only available via the sign in API options.
It is not a best practice to manually edit the configuration file as you wouldn't know what is supported and what is not. It is a best practice to use the amplify cli to generate the configuration. And if you need to override anything, use tha options available via the API's.

So, in other words, this is not a bug but rather the expected behaviour. If you use a flow without adhering to the SRP, you need to use it in the manner I've described in the comment... Is my understanding correct?
