alfred-workflow-zoom-meetings's Introduction

Join Zoom Meeting – An Alfred Workflow

v1.2.1

License: MIT

Created by Aurooba Ahmed

Download the latest version from the releases page.

This workflow allows you to do 3 things:

  1. Highlight a Zoom link and hold down Ctrl+Cmd+Z to launch it without a new browser tab opening. (This is a suggested hotkey. Add this or another by going to Alfred Preferences, navigating to Workflows, and editing the 'Hotkey' in Join Zoom Meeting.) – works with password-protected meetings as well.
  2. Type in zm in Alfred to launch your personal zoom meeting and copy the link to clipboard to share – works with password-protected meetings as well.
  3. Type in zm YOUR-ZOOM-LINK to open any Zoom link from Alfred.

Saving your Personal Zoom Meeting URL

To add your Personal Zoom Meeting URL, open Alfred Preferences, navigate to Workflows, open the Join Zoom Meeting workflow, click on the [x] in the top right corner and add your URL as the value for the variable personal.

alfred-workflow-zoom-meetings's Issues

Meeting ID not defined if it contains spaces

Great workflow; super useful. Thanks for the work here.

When doing the Alfred command zm 555 5555 5555 (where the #s is the meeting ID, as delivered in the Zoom emails and meeting information pane), the workflow returns an error message. On deleting the spaces it works as expected, but it would be preferable to be able to simply paste in the format Zoom provides.

Add ability to save multiple meeting rooms

Would be super convenient to be able to type in zm [nickname] to launch a particular meeting room.

Use cases:

  • when you zoom with someone often and want to save their personal meeting room so it's easy to launch when hopping on a call.
  • if you have a recurring standup with your team and don't want to have to navigate somewhere to grab the link.

Password support

Hi, nice workflow!! :)

Any chance you can add support for passwords encoded in the link? (the "pwd" query parameter).

Thanks!

[Feature Request] automatic signin into zoom desktop app

I used the workflow for the zoom personal meeting. It launches the zoom desktop app but I need to signin manually.

Describe the solution you'd like
Calling the workflow for the zoom personal meeting launches the desktop app,
performs automatic signin and enters personal meeting room

Describe alternatives you've considered
Alternative would be an apple script but I do all in Alfred now.

Additional context
Add any other context or screenshots about the feature request here.

Initiate a call with someone

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Everytime I would like to call someone, i need to open Zoom and select the person I want to call

Describe the solution you'd like
I d love to be able to type : zm Loic and it wil call Loic on zoom

Add Google Calendar support

The plan:

Add the ability to connect Google Calendar and preview the next 2-3 meetings (including one that is currently 'in progress') and be able to launch those Zoom meetings right from Alfred.
