Unknown anti-ttd trick on pyarmor

When testing TTD on a binary packed with pyarmor, it seems like an anti-debug technic makes the program crash.
I tried with Microsoft TTD.exe feature to record children (-children flag) and also with my own version of TTDProcessTracker.
It failed with both, but with my version, I was able to record properly the trace a few times (randomly).
I would like to find out what technic is used to block TTD.
