async-website's Issues

Page titles should refer to page content

(And it should have the most specific context first).

e.g. on http://asyncjs.com/functional/ instead of "Async: A JavaScript meetup for Brighton & Hove" it could be "Functional Brighton โ€” Async: A JavaScript meetup for Brighton & Hove"

Not sure if this is technically possible, since the base layout is outside of the event detail context.

Events disappear as soon as the start time is passed

More of a consideration, pushed some code direct since this was an issue at that very moment..

Events should probably appear (when the site is re-generated) for at least that day, which withstands as long as we don't have multiple events occurring on the same day. Currently, an event will expire as soon as the start-time is in the past, e.g. > 7.15pm.

Will reopen this issue to make sure it's definitely desirable.

Contact speaker from further afield

@almost mentioned a speaker from Norway he met at Reactive conf. Tom, could you drop them a line and see if they'd be willing to come if we can secure sponsorship to pay for their flights, and if so how much they'd want?

"Previous Event" and "Following Event" are mismatched

On an event page, future events are displayed under the "Previous Event" heading, and past events under the "Following Event" heading. These should be the other way round.

Pre block styling fix

Code entered in gists (for comments) can go off the screen.

Should shrink the size of this code a bit, and ensure that pre's scroll.

Fix adblock issue

Might be fixed as part of #125, but Adblock is currently blocking all resources with 'async' in the name - which rather screws us over! Perhaps use a CDN?

Add year links to year view

The following links are available from the "view all" section.

But not from the following, yearly view section.

It would make it much easier to browse if these were also available in the yearly view.
