Binder is not launching after the last pull request - maybe because it's pointing to the Code directory and not root?

Students should be given space to write their answers down in the notebook (and their predictions).
Space needs to be added for this.

environment.yml vs requirements.txt

Is there a reason you use an environment.yml file? A requirements.txt might build the binder image quicker. Bare in mind I haven't been through your whole repo to check!

Fusion Code Errors/Improvements

The mass excess text isn't clear. The code needs better comments to link to the text above.

Check delta m = m - Z formula

Just under the first Over to You the naming of variables is confusing.

unclear where students complete code

In some activities (Earth's Heat) it might be unclear where they are supposed to write their code.

Suggestion write "Your code here" where code was deleted for the student version.

AstPy-017 Galaxy Simulation via Barnes Hut

N-body galaxy simulation using the Barnes Hut algorithm.

Split into two parts:

1. Creating a quadtree
2. Using the tree for the simulation

Differentiate between Astro / Geo/ CompSci activities

Add some sort of marker to differentiate more Planetary Geo activities from Comp Sci and Astro. Perhaps rename them GeoPy.

AstPy-003 Not working

Javascript error needs checking

Not working with Jupyterlab :( glymur isn't loading the correct library

AstPy-006 Fix

SunPy has released version 6.0 which has broken some of the activities notably 006 Sunspots. This issue fixes the activity.

fusion notebooks

The teacher fusion notebook needs updating to match the corrected student version.

Environment yaml update to be more specific on required versions

Tighten down the requirements in the yaml files.

Remove anything Windows specific and remove channel.

Fix the lunar.yml file which is missing Pandas.

ruff format notebooks

Use the ruff formatter on the notebooks and check the code style.

AstPy-x Hillslope Evolution

Evolution of hillslope profiles.

2023 Maintenance Check

Issue to check that all the notebooks still work out of box when installed with the provided conda environments.

AstPy-x Forest Fire Cellula Automata

A simple extendable cellula atomata simulation for forest fires.

Version control data and move out the repository

The repo is very large due to the data and output files which are stored.
These should be deleted or version controlled in some other way.

Perhaps:

• Point people to where they can download the data themselves if from an external source
• Store in Google Drive version controlling the data by placing it in a folder with the issue number that created/modified it
