asterics-docs's Issues

Search Field - not indexing correctly

Following text in the search field does not deliver the expected search results:

"IR" should deliver IRTrans
"IRT" should deliver IRTrans
"Event" should deliver "Event Flip Flop"

Maybe tweak some settings with the whitespace handling?

IRTrans is shown as menu entry in components docs, but searching is only possible with "IR Trans".

Width of page content in Desktop view too small

A manual page currently looks like this:
Screenshot_2

but I think it should look more like this:
Screenshot_3

The max-width of the main content is just 740px which to my mind wastes way too much space. It should be e.g. 1280px, the same value OpenHab is using.

sticky settings panels

Chris Veigl:
if settings panels are opened on the AsTeRICS homepage
(e.g. solution settings via https://www.asterics.eu/solutions/ or page settings via the settings button)
the settings panels remain sticky on top of the page content (even when the page is changed).
maybe a seperate popup window or another solution to display the settings would be better

The automated release is failing 🚨

🚨 The automated release from the alija/task/101 branch failed. 🚨

I recommend you give this issue a high priority, so other packages depending on you could benefit from your bug fixes and new features.

You can find below the list of errors reported by semantic-release. Each one of them has to be resolved in order to automatically publish your package. I’m sure you can resolve this πŸ’ͺ.

Errors are usually caused by a misconfiguration or an authentication problem. With each error reported below you will find explanation and guidance to help you to resolve it.

Once all the errors are resolved, semantic-release will release your package the next time you push a commit to the alija/task/101 branch. You can also manually restart the failed CI job that runs semantic-release.

If you are not sure how to resolve this, here is some links that can help you:

If those don’t help, or if this issue is reporting something you think isn’t right, you can always ask the humans behind semantic-release.

The push permission to the Git repository is required.

semantic-release cannot push the version tag to the branch alija/task/101 on remote Git repository with URL https://%[email protected]/asterics/asterics-docs.

Please refer to the authentication configuration documentation to configure the Git credentials on your CI environment and make sure the repositoryUrl is configured with a valid Git URL.

Good luck with your project ✨

Started with the development of vuepress project. Current functionality, issues:

  • Navigation implemented, including examples for single and dropdown and external elements
  • Different examples provided, including a start page, a multilanguage example of the start page.
  • Built-in search provided by default. Amount of suggestions can be configured. Built-in Search only builds index from the title, h2 and h3 headers, if we need full-text search, we can use Algolia Search, which requires us to submit our site to them for indexing before it starts working.

Rework Solution Button Icons

The icons used for settings and actions on the soutions page are IMHO not very intuitive:

For models

image

  1. The edit icon should be the pen, as it is commonly used for it.
  2. Setting the ARE URL makes sense per solution, but the WebACS and Grid URL should be a system-wide setting (maybe even hardcoded).
  3. For the camera mouse there is also a solution settings page (app icon), maybe both settings pages could be combined.

For a grid

image

  1. Editing does not make sense here
  2. The ARE, WebACS, Grid settings don't make sense here
  3. It's only possible to link to the main page of the grid. Only the app icon and the read more icon make sense.

tooltips for solution control buttons

Description:
It might be helpful to add tooltips for better usability of the model control button on the AsTeRICS solutions page https://www.asterics.eu/solutions/.
Although there is a description availabe in the first section the button functions might be unclear if you scroll down to a particular model.
Additionally, tooltips for the hardware requirements ("needed hardware:") would be helpful - to empasize the difference to the supported OS.
