freecut's Issues

firmware from scratch

l ported the freecut firmware to newer cake machine. It has a different PIC than the one free cut was originally written for, but the io and the rest of the electronic where pretty much the same, except for the LCD display. I'm planning on adding code for a graphtec interface,so it can be used to cut from PDF. gary

so what needs to be done?

I'd like to use this to cut shapes based on vector files from indesign. I'm a ruby programmer by day, but sending and receiving signals over USB I just have no idea how to do. If you could point me in the right direction, that'd be awesome. Thanks for working on this this far.

RE - Cricut Documentation

I and others have done some work reverse engineering several versions of the Cricut Hardware.

Some of it relates to the use of the built-in firmware, some might be helpful for developing custom firmware. Editing is currently limited, because the last version of this site was completely killed by SPAM. www.built-to-spec.com/cricutwiki/index.php?title=Main_Page

If you create a profile the same as your github and your profile is associated with Freecut, I would be happy to enable edit abilities.

Cricut Mini

any plans on checking out the serial/USB on a mini?
