Have a tiny 'X' next to each run in the details list that upon clicking deletes only that specific run.

Clicking a student name in the table should scroll down to their details.
Making the name in the table a link pointing to #details-STUDENT NAME could easily implement this.

Have a button that upon clicking sets all students to stop talking.

Currently talking students are tracked in the object current = {'Student 1': start_time}. A stop all button could just loop through the current object, and run the code that clicking the specific stop button does for a student. Then current would be reset to {}.
