I do not understand what you mean by “inline colouring”. Can you provide a screenshot of what is not getting highlighted and you wish it were?

sorry I was away for holiday, I'm gonna provide a screenshot as soon as I put my hands on a html file!
anyway I meant get coloring here:

that is inline, not external neither internal stylesheet, just on-the-fly embedded styling

Ah.

I agree it would be useful but the solution does not really belong in this plugin. It is due to how the HTML syntax plugin embeds the CSS syntax plugin – so the issue should really be filed against the HTML syntax plugin.

I could try to hack something into vim-css-color, where it would colourise colour references inside style attribute values even without CSS syntax highlighting, but I don’t know how ugly that would be.

I’ll take a look at it sometime, but it’s not going to be high on my list of things to accomplish.

If anyone wants to provide a patch to jumpstart me, I’m open to that, though.

I'd provide a patch if I knew where to start....looks like a dead end, but now I know why it's not an easy fix.
