To maintain the entry file of a plugin in a minimal and easily maintainable size, we can relocate complex validation-related and repetitive code to a utility module, either module_utils or plugin_utils, and then import it into the modules. Initially, we can begin by transferring the argspec definition of all the modules to module_utils. Subsequently, we can identify and move other parts of the code to the utility module as needed.

SUMMARY

Investigate ruff (https://docs.astral.sh/ruff/) as a more efficient solution for formatting and linting our Collections. It will replace black, flake8 and isort.
It will be necessary to update the tox.ini files, update the GitHub linting actions, and reflect this change in the documentation.
