appwatcher's Issues

App Watcher crashes on Android 4.2

Hey,

notifications are working.

But launchig the app will produce a force close immediately.

Reproducable on all devices with Android 4.2

clearly visible if there is an update which isn't yet installed

It should be clearly visible if there is an update which isn't yet installed. And maybe also if the installed version is newer than the store version. Maybe the higher version number could be changed to (a middle-dark) green and the apps with a higher store version should be shown at the top of the list.

A more eye-catching marker for installed apps

If an app is already installed there is a small marker below the icon. This is not very eye-catching. It would be nice if this would be changed. E.g. "Version x.y" could be replaced by a red "Installed". Or just a red version number.

App watcher permissions

Hello, is it possible to subscribe to app update information without using my google account? I don't want to give authenticator access to my google account just to get news about apps.

So, is there another way?

Crashes since Jelly Bean

Since some days (I think since I've installed official JB update) I have the following problem:

  1. The app shows a notification (new update found).
  2. I click on the notification and the app starts.
  3. I click on "What's new" to see the news and the app crashes.

If I now re-start the app and click on "What's new" it is working fine.

This happens always.

Importing all installed apps does not work

Importing all installed apps does not work. After trying it the first time the app imported just 4 from ~100 apps. The second time it imported just 2 more apps. And if I manually select apps in the import dialog and press IMPORT there are often apps shown with a red background, but after some tries they work.
And the import dialog sometimes shows wrong app icons. And after importing some apps I still can select apps in the import dialog...

Date display and sorting by date

If the app doesn't show an update it is not possible to determine the latest updates. The app entries don't show their last update date and there is no sorting function.
I would love to see the last update date on the same line like the version number. Just right aligned.

I know that this is already on the todo list, but the last update was more than 2 month ago. So is there any progress here?

sort the apps by the update date

An app which looks for app changes should sort the apps by the update date, don't you think? A section "Recently changed" isn't enough, especially if this section goes away so fast. And the "On Device" section on the second page doesn't seem to have an order at all.
So at least the order should be by date. Better would be an option to change the order. Separately on each page.

Can't choose account on Android Nougat

Tapping on the selected account (see screenshot) does nothing and the app will not sync with the Play Store. I'm still able to use the app normally otherwise and can enable Google Drive sync.
