I am really impressed with the plugin, and it worked first go for me. The main missing feature for me is the AUX Outputs. From the looks of it, NessClient implements Aux Outputs (NessClient.aux()), so that part is done. This should mean that setting outputs, and also getting updates when the state of the outputs are changed through other means.

Requesting AUX status for the up to eight AUX outputs is probably the best move, rather than just the first four. Therefore, I would use S18 rather than S15. Maybe something like

const NESS_STATUS_AUX = 'S18'
and
setTimeout(() => this.nessClient.sendCommand(NESS_STATUS_AUX), 3000)

After that, I am starting to get lost in the code

We are having a continuous issue where the accessory is not responding / no response.

Sometimes we can arm the system but cant disarm the system.

We have tested all functions with the ness iComms app to confirm the issue is not with our IP232 module.

Firstly, thanks for developing this plug in.

Several months back, I noticed that the Away command was not arming my Ness D8x - there is no audible beep and no change to Disarmed status on the Ness D8x Navigator.

I can successfully disarm the panel using the Home app (including after manually entering the arming code on my Ness D8x Navigator touchscreen).

Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask these questions, I wasn't sure where else.

I'm a Security Installer and I've been looking for a Alarm System which will integrate well into Apple Homekit via Homebridge (or Hoobs in my case).

I was just wondering what exact functionality will this give me exactly? I haven't installed Ness Alarms before so I'm not familiar with their terminology however this is basically what I'm looking to achieve with Homekit via Homebridge in order of priority:

1. Arm/Disarm the Alarm manually
2. Notifications for Alarm Events
3. Automatically Arm the System when nobody on premises (like Geofencing, is this done by Homekit somehow? Never tried an Alarm in Homekit before)
4. Automatically Disarm the Alarm when somebody arrives
5. Notifications for System Troubles

I realise this is not all done by the plugin.

I'm just curious how much of the Ness Alarm System is exposed to Homekit via Homebridge and if I would be able to make it work how I've mentioned above.

If only some can be accomplished could you please let me know which ones.

I have this plug-in installed at my house and my office, both working well but both have a similar issue where as if we arm the alarm to away via the keypad and not through HomeKit, than it sits as “disarming” in HomeKit

It says like this until I disarm and rearm through HomeKit

I’ve tried shortening the exit delay to 2sec and the problem still occurs

Other than that I can’t fault this plug-in and it works so smoothly compared to the standard ness icomms
