shifty-spritz's Issues

css is not print safe - produces bogus whitespace

the main div relies on the .hide class, which when not defined by the site, creates an empty gap at the start of the page when printing. I guess it could be fixed by using inline code for the style="display: none;" (it works if i manually change it in firebug, but then it is not overloaded by the plugin when activated...)

spritz-print

Newlines make a break

When reading text that is formatted with line breaks in the middle of senteces, the reader will stop at every newline for about the duration of one word. This interrupts the reading flow and is generally uncomfortable. I assume line breaks are made to take a pause in order to make the reading more pleasant, but if the line breaks are not at the end of sentences then maybe they could be handled differently?

This is the text i was reading when i notices this issue: http://geer.tinho.net/geer.langsec.21v15.txt

Not opened shifty appears in the HTML.

Hi, first: thanks for providing such a useful tool! :)
Second: Shifty writes into the HTML, even if I haven't pushed shift twice. That sometimes sucks because some WYSIWYG-editors make notice of that and suddenly <div id="shifty-spritz" style="display: none; top: -9999px;" tabindex="1"> appears in the input-field.

Removed from Chrome Store

Sady I noticed the extension was removed from the chrome store

is there a different way other than manually building it?

Shift + Space press does not pause.

I've tried doing the key combo suggested on the Firefox plugin but it does not pause the reading. Using the pause in the gui works. In some cases scrolls the page.

Pressing 'esc' moves fixed pos elements up

Pressing 'esc' while shifty-spritz is enabled in Chrome is adding "style=top:-70px" to any fixed position elements on any page. Pressing 'esc' again adds another -70px, ad infinitum. The effect being that any fixed position elements are quickly moved up and out of the top of the browser window if you press the 'esc' key a couple times.

Chrome is: Version 37.0.2062.120
System is: OSX 10.9.4
