Using a normal Mediafire file download URL, I've created a bash script and website that should automatically redirect to the direct download URL.

This is an alt account to store the archived projects of mine, that I deem have no use, either because of one or many of the reasons below:

• Proof of concepts, never meant to be permanent
• Defunct services, making my code obsolete (because of dead websites/api endpoints, or website replicated the same feature that my code was for)
• Modded projects, usually primarily containg large sums of code that I didn't write (e.g. Minecraft Classic website javascript modding)

Excluded Repos apfs-fuse (was only cloned to include a compiled binary) minecraft-classic (cloned from classic.minecraft.net)

mediafire-direct's Issues

[Enhancement] Look into PHP maybe to make the website version smoother

Currently using less sophisticated redirection with URL parameters to download mediafire files, which might cause some confusion for people that try to right-click save as on a direct link generated from this project.

[Enhancement] Merge the two bash scripts into one

I'm going to look into making the option to directly download an argument the script takes in, making the default download (argument will be need have it spit out URLs)

New Mediafire Download links don't work (e.g. https://www.mediafire.com/download/[id here])

It seems that something has been updated, and the demo no longer works.

[Enhancement] Need to make the website instant download redirection more obvious

Currently the page displays almost the same as if you were to visit the website and just type in any URL.

What needs to be changed is hiding the normal page, and unhiding a mention about the redirect and where it's going and more info, below the larger text, stating something around the lines Your download should start automatically within 5 seconds, but if not, please click on the download button after this message disappears.
